Advertisement , Breanna

I am more comfortable with creative writing, so please excuse my lengthy sentences. So, I'll just briefly introduce myself; My name is Breanna Rose. I am majoring in Art, and plan to transfer to California College of the Arts to major in animation/game designs/writing. My dream is to get at job at Pixar Studios as an animator, and on the side lines a comic artist.

I found an old fashion Coca-Cola advertisement from Google images. I chose this particular advertisement because I love 1940s/50s pin-ups, and Coca-Cola had the most popular advertisements with pin-ups as their main muse. Most advertisements back then were paintings instead of photographs like in magazines, and catalogs we have today. They're mostly just considered art now though, and become valuable collectables.

  1. I love the art of these older ads, especially the Coca Cola ads. I find them fascinating to look at, break down and analyze. For instance, in these we can look at how women were depicted years ago, and compare that to today's ads.

Glad to hear you are comfortable with creative writing. This blog might be a great format for that. Hoping you may add some of your art here, eventually, if you feel so inclined?!//LM
